Tucked away in the heart of Bruges, Hotel Van Eyck was the perfect spot for our recent getaway. This charming 18th-century hotel, adorned with delightful Art-Nouveau touches, truly captured the city's rich history, providing a cozy atmosphere that felt like stepping back in time. The rooms, spotlessly clean and equipped with private bathrooms, were ample and comfortable-ideal for unwinding after a long day exploring the enchanting streets nearby. We particularly enjoyed the view of the iconic Bell Tower right outside our window; hearing its charming chimes added a lovely soundtrack to our stay. Although the breakfast came at an extra cost, the continental buffet was an absolute treat, offering a splendid array to kickstart our mornings. Plus, being just a short stroll from the main square and a delightful selection of restaurants made it an excellent base for discovering Bruges' culinary treasures. The friendly staff made us feel incredibly welcome, and their willingness to store our bags after check-out was the cherry on top of our experience. If you're looking for a cozy, historic hotel from which to explore this beautiful city, Hotel Van Eyck should be at the top of your list!
